The Awen symbol is a spiritual and poetic symbol from the Celtic (especially Welsh) tradition.
"Awen" literally means inspiration or essential spiritual force in Welsh. In the context of the Celtic Druids, it refers to divine or creative inspiration, especially in poetry, art, and spirituality.
The three rays represent:
Earth, sea, and air (the three elements of the world in Celtic cosmology),
Love, wisdom, and truth, or
Body, mind, and spirit.
The middle ray is sometimes seen as the balance or the human being itself, in equilibrium between the other two forces (such as light and darkness).
