Ruby Gaia Torso

Ruby Gaia Torso ... Earth’s Inner Fire

A miniature tribute to the feminine form ... hand-carved from Ruby and raised above a dark slate base.

Her rounded breasts, flowing waist and full hips evoke the timeless language of ancient Venus figures. Without a face, her presence is expressed entirely through the body ... a symbol of life, nourishment and creative strength.

Deep pink and purple-red tones mingle with natural inclusions and earthy markings. These details remain visible within the carving, bringing the character of the stone into the sculpture. The slender mount allows her silhouette to stand freely above the slate.

I named her Gaia, after the personification of Earth ... a small figure connecting the human body with the mineral world from which she was shaped.

In contemporary crystal traditions, Ruby symbolises vitality, passion, courage and heartfelt devotion. Within this Gaia torso, those associations become a poetic expression of the fire of life ... the warmth that inspires us to create, nurture and grow.
