A triskelion or triskeles is an ancient motif consisting of a triple spiral exhibiting rotational symmetry or other patterns in triplicate that emanate from a common center. The spiral design can be based on interlocking Archimedean spirals, or represent three bent human legs.

The name Triskel comes from the Greek word Triskelion and symbolizes the trinity. The meaning refers, among other things, to the Celtic holy trinity: Life, Death and Rebirth, Past, Present and Future. With the Celts it was mainly seen as a symbol to activate the energy of life.
In all cases they represent the three circles of life: life, death and rebirth. Each part goes from the outside in and at the origin they come together again. By following this sign, each takes his place in the greater whole. At the same time, everyone follows their own goals from being the same.
