Four faces. Four directions. Two ancient stones united within a single guardian.

This extraordinary Tribal pendant brings together Sarsen Stone and Preseli Bluestone, the two principal stone types used in the construction of Stonehenge. The great outer circle and monumental trilithons were formed from sarsen, while the smaller bluestones originated within the ancient Preseli landscape of West Wales.

The pendant reveals a different face from every direction. One guardian emerges entirely from the dark, strongly patterned Preseli Bluestone, while its opposite is carved within the warm, earthy Sarsen Stone. Along both sides, two further faces appear precisely where the stones meet. These profiles belong to neither stone alone: each is formed equally from both.

Together, the four faces become guardians of the four directions. They look forward and backward, to the left and to the right, watching over the visible path, the road already travelled and everything that may approach from beyond our immediate awareness. There is no unguarded side.
